UN condemns outbreak of fighting in Sudan

The United Nations Secretary-General has strongly condemned the outbreak of fighting in Sudan between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces.

In a statement today, António Guterres called on the two parties to immediately cease hostilities, restore calm and initiate a dialogue to resolve the crisis.
