Dangers of indoor heating using wood and coal

As part of its ‘Our Winter is Safe and Enjoyable’ Campaign, Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority warn against lighting fire using wood or coal inside the house and demand adherence to general safety guidelines while using heating appliances to avoid any accidents.

The authorities also warn against placing heating devices wires under carpets, allowing children to play around them, or using them to burn incense or dry laundry. In addition, ensure to turn off the heater when leaving home or sleeping.
