The first fully UAE-built satellite “Khalifa Sat” set to be launched on October 29

Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced that October 29 will mark the launch of Khalifa Sat from the Tanegashima Space Center in Japan, after it was build by the minds and hands of Zayed’s sons and daughters.

His highness tweeted on his official twitter account announcing the news, he also added: “This is an important step for our country in the field of science and engineering, and it was only possible with the great support of our leadership, which provides us with all the possibilities that allow for creativity and development, in order to leave the UAE’s footprint among global scientific developments”.
