Oman to close all commercial activities from March 4

The Supreme Committee has decided to close all commercial activities in all governorates of the Sultanate between 8 pm to 5 am from March 4 until March 20.

The aforementioned closure includes restaurants and cafes within the tourist facilities in addition to home delivery services, with the exception of petrol stations, health institutions and private pharmacies.

The committee also approved the continuation of students receiving education in public schools by means of distance learning during the period from Sunday, March 7 to Thursday, March 11, provided that during this period, this is evaluated in accordance with the developments of the epidemiological situation in the Sultanate.

“The committee stresses the seriousness of this stage in which this disease is spread at the local and global levels, and calls on everyone to take utmost care and caution, and to protect all members of their families and society, and calls on everyone to avoid the establishment of gatherings that have been scientifically proven to cause a large and dangerous outbreak of infection,” the statement added.
