Dubai: Young Arab man on trial for his inappropriate posts on Snap Chat

Dubai Public Prosecution referred a 22-year-old Arab visitor to the Criminal Court for condoning sin through social media.

The officer in charge of the case, stated during the investigations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, that while conducting a patrol on social media with another officer, the defendant’s account was found on Snap Chat application, in which he has inappropriate posts, condoning sin, and displaying different types of Alcohol.

By having evidence on the incident and saving the posts, the accused was summoned to the Department of  Digital Forensics. When asked, he voluntarily admitted to using his account to get to know men, by showing them naked clips of himself, and offering to have sexual relations with them, for 1500 Dhs.
