Public Prosecution explains the penalty of insulting the Union flag

The Public Prosecution: Shall be sentenced to a prison term of not less than 10 years and not more than 25 years and a minimum fine of AED 500,000, whoever drops, damages or in any way insults the Union flag, the flag of any member emirate in the union, the flag of any GCC country, or the flag of any other country, publicly or at any public place or a location opened for public.
