The resumption of granting entry and work permits

In the framework of strengthening the country’s efforts in supporting the recovery plans and growth while enabling the work system to achieve a vital balance between preventative measures on the one hand and the return of the tourism and economic climate on the other hand.. “FAIC” in coordination with “NCEMA” announce the resumption of granting entry permits to domestic workers and work permits to workers in government, semi-government, and vital establishments in the country. All precautionary and preventive measures will be taken at the country’s ports, including performing PCR test prior to departure and 14 days quarantine in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship confirmed that domestic workers from all nationalities who are holding valid residence visas are permitted to enter. This also includes holders of valid residency visa and workers in government, semi-government, and vital establishments provided that the sponsor must submit an application via the authority’s website “ica.gov.ae”.
