Eid holiday announced for private sector

It is decided that the first and second days of Shawwal shall be a paid public holiday for all employees of private sector establishments in the UAE on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.

This came in a circular issued by HE Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in accordance with the provisions of Article 74 of the Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 concerning the organization of labor relations and its amendments, which sets the holiday of the private sector on the first and second days of Eid al-Fitr.
