As part of the Sharjah Government pavilion’s participation at GITEX Technology Week 2019, the Sharjah Municipality, SM, has launched a number of smart projects and digital services that ensure the digital transformation and consolidate the system of artificial intelligence , aiming to develop its systematisation and achieve excellence in performance and overcome obstacles for several clients.
The launching was in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Director-General of Sharjah Department of eGovernment, Sheikh Mohamed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development, and Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, Director-General of Sharjah Municipality and several dignitaries.
Commenting on this, Thabet Salem Al Tarifi pointed out the emirate has achieved qualitative leaps in the field of digital transformation that helps in enhancing the innovation system , in line with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to provide various smart and digital services to the public.
Al Tarifi has further stressed that the Municipality has taken steady steps towards ensuring the digital transformation of all its services, which is being implemented to include all departments and sections of the Municipality.
During its participation at this major influential exhibition in areas of IT and technology industry, the Municipality has further showcased many other smart services.
