A new study from the University of Colorado Boulder suggests that having a busy schedule may be linked to better mental health and academic performance. Researchers surveyed 646 college students and found that those with the busiest schedules were less likely to experience depression and tended to earn better grades, while those who felt constantly rushed or under “time pressure” had higher levels of anxiety and depression and lower grades. The study also found that mindfulness may help people manage demanding schedules without harming their mental health, highlighting that how people perceive and experience their time may matter more than how much they have.
