Manchester City beat Sunderland to take outright Premier League lead

Manchester City moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League after beating Sunderland 5-3 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday in Matchweek 5.

The victory took City to 15 points, three ahead of second-placed Arsenal, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the same round, Liverpool defeated Bournemouth 1-0, while Leeds United and Crystal Palace played out a goalless draw.
