Gold prices slip as US dollar regains some ground

Gold prices fell on Tuesday as spot gold was down 0.3% at $1,978.10 per ounce, as of 0549 GMT, Reuters reported.

U.S. gold futures dipped 0.2% to $1,997.30, added Reuters.

Spot silver shed 0.9% to $23.79 per ounce, platinum fell 0.3% to $982.62 and palladium lost 0.4% at $1,453.64.
