Abu Dhabi Police: Beware of beggars’ tricks

Abu Dhabi Police warn community members against sending or transferring money to unknown people who target the sympathy of social media users through text messages, pictures and fabricated begging phrases to obtain money.

According to law, begging crime incurs a fine of not less than AED 5000 and imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months.
