The UAE leads in the rate of doses distribution per 100 people

Dr. Farida Al Hosani, Official Spokesperson of the UAE health sector:

• According to the Our World in Data website, the UAE ranked third in the world in the number of COVID-19 tests performed per 1,000 people against GDP per capita since the break of the pandemic until 12 September 2021.

• The UAE is the first worldwide in the list of vaccinated countries with at least one dose for the same period.

• The UAE leads in the rate of doses distribution per 100 people, compared to countries with more than one million people.

• There is a significant decline in the number of infections in the UAE by 60% compared to last August. Thus recording the lowest rate in the number of infections in a year.

• The booster dose is an additional dose after the essential doses of the vaccine. It aims to boost the immunity to capable levels of protection against the virus after the recognition memory decreases over time. Therefore, we advise eligible individuals to take the booster dose on time.
