Sharjah Police confiscates violating motorbikes and bicycles

Sharjah Police’s Traffic and Patrols Department has confiscated 1863 bicycles and motorbikes in various areas in Sharjah during the first quarter of the 2021, as part of its campaign, launched in cooperation with the Sharjah Municipality and Bee’ah, to control the violating motorcycles and bicycles, according a Sharjah Police statement.

The campaign, which aims to enforce traffic rules, aligns with Sharjah Police’s objectives and the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to make roads safer.

Lt. Colonel Mohammed Allay Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police, said that the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators, noting that the crackdown on cyclists and bikers was part of an ongoing traffic campaign to reduce accidents caused by them.
