MOE develops an action plan for the safe return to schools during the second semester

The Ministry of Education:

• We developed an action plan for the safe return to schools during the second semester of the academic year 2020-2021 after reviewing the health status, recommendations of the competent authorities, and the parents desire as essential partners in the plan.

• The plan also focuses on guidelines, instructive programs and flexible scenarios for students ’attendance. The school’s occupancy will not exceed 50% of its capacity to ensure the achievement of precautionary measures.

• Implementing regular school learning for high school students (grades nine through twelve) will begin on January 17, 2021, at a capacity of 50%, while monitoring and evaluating the health status weekly to take the appropriate decision for the rest of the grades.

• The return process will include the implemention of the health guidelines, and preventive measures by all workers, such as: showing the test results through Al Hosn application, measuring temperature, physical distancing, and all the precautions mentioned in the manual of safe return protocols for educational facilities.
