Minister of Education: 1.2 million students resume study

His Excellency Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, during the UAE government regular news briefing:

• One million seventy thousand and two hundred of our students have resumed studies in different educational levels, where 130 thousand are university students while one million and forty thousand are students of the general education.

• A series of integrated preventive measures has been developed and followed inside and outside the educational institutions to protect the students, starting from home, during their presence on buses, inside the school and until they return safely to their homes.

• The implementation of a hybrid education system that blends between traditional learning and distance learning. Students’ attendance in school will be gradual for those undertaking traditional learning model, so that the attendance rate is currently limited to 25%, and after two weeks it will rise to 50% and then 75% to 100%.
