Man break woman’s nose in Dubai

A 33-year-old Arab national went on trial over breaking the nose of a European woman with a sudden head blow while they were at a Dubai restaurant, causing 15% permanent disability, a Dubai Criminal Court heard.
The 33-year-old victim claimed that she was with her a friend when the accused came and tried to speak with her while he was under the influence of alcohol.
The accused pushed her hand, dropped her phone on the floor before hitting his head in her nose. She heard a broken voice in her nose and the attacker’s friend tried to help her and stopped the attack. She was transferred to hospital and underwent for two operations to correct the fracture in her nose.
Meanwhile, the accused claimed that he was accompanied by his colleague in the restaurant, and there was a dispute between him and the victim, who initiated the attack first by phone.
An eyewitness testified that the accused harassed the victim and she ignored. He was angry and pulled her from her hand towards him, hit her with a head blow.
The forensic report said the victim needed treatment for more than 20 days, and left a minor deformity of the nose with a slight blockage in the nostrils, and a change in tone of voice, which is a 15% permanent disability.
