Anaesthesia specialist responsible over Rawdha’s coma

The anasethesia specialist was behind the medical mistake in the case of Rawdha Al Maini, who has been in a coma since April 23 after a nose surgery, a Dubai Health Authority said.
The authority said that the investigation in Rawdha case, revealed that the anasethesia specialist was responsible of her coma and that his license has been suspended until further notice, he is banned from his position as the medical director and the authority shut down the operation theatres at the centre.
Rawdha, went in coma after she suffered a cardiac arrest on the operating table and the investigative report stated that her brain had been deprived of oxygen for a full seven minutes.
Abdullah Al Maini, Rawdha’s father said: “The doctor who operated on my daughter to resume work in Dubai and announced it on social media while the case still in court. It is kind provocative.”
He said that the medical report didn’t include Rawdha’s aunt testimony despite she is a doctor and witnessed what happened as she enter the operating theatre and saw the negligence.
Abdullah added that his daughter’s decision to undergo for surgery on her nose was purely guided by the difficulties she faced in breathing.
