Abu Dhabi: Female drivers urged to use designated parking spaces

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Transport reminded women through their official twitter account to use of the 182 parking spaces which are specially dedicated to female drivers.

The parking spaces that can be found around several areas of Abu Dhabi city, are intended to help women find parking spaces faster, and provides them with privacy while getting on and off their vehicles.

The spaces will be inspected by Mawaqif inspectors regularly to ensure that they are not used by men. Any offenders will be fined with Dh500 and have their vehicles impounded.
