RAK: Arab man gets 5 years sentence after beating another man, causing him disability

The Criminal Court in Ras al-Khaimah, headed by Counselor “Sameh Shaker”, sentenced an Arab man to 5 years in prison after he had been charged with beating a person which caused the victim severe physical damage .

According to the case report, the defendant beat the victim after they left a nightclub with the help of some of his friends, using a white weapon. As a result of a conflict between them.

On the other hand, the same court sentenced three Arab nationals with three months’ imprisonment and a fine of 20,000 dirhams and seized all the alcohol owned by them. This came after a police patrol stopped them and found alcohol in their posesssion, they refused to let the police search the car, and attempted to attack the officers who eventually arrested them.
