Al Ain: Two-year-old child falls from the first floor of a shopping mall

A boy aged two-years and seven-month has fallen down from the first floor of a shopping center in Al Ain while he was about to go down an escalator with his parents. The child was taken by an ambulance to Al Ain hospital.

The boy’s father said that the police had investigated the incident, explaining that his son was leaning on a non-metal piece at the start of the escalator, but was surprised of his fall to the ground, which led to a serious injury to the head. The boy underwent immediate surgery in Al Ain hospital.

For his part, a spokesman of the commercial center commented on the incident that led to the injury of the child, explaining that investigations are underway to uncover the main causes of the incident.
