{"id":6681,"date":"2018-12-26T11:05:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-26T07:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=6681"},"modified":"2018-12-26T11:05:00","modified_gmt":"2018-12-26T07:05:00","slug":"seven-licensed-trust-service-providers-operating-in-uae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2018\/12\/26\/seven-licensed-trust-service-providers-operating-in-uae\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven licensed trust service providers operating in UAE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are seven trust service providers (TSP) licensed by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in the UAE, statistics released recently by the TRA show.<\/p>\n<p>TSP is a person or legal entity providing and preserving digital certificates to create and validate electronic signatures and to authenticate their signatories as well as websites in general.<\/p>\n<p>The growth in providing and preserving digital certificates in the country translates the transformational development drive championed by the TRA to boost e-commerce in the UAE over the past five years in line with the government&#8217;s plan to reinforce its status in this industry regionally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>According to FITCH Ratings, the e-commerce market value in UAE increased from AED27.6 bn in 2016 to AED35.6 bn in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in a recent report, said the UAE is the fourth most prepared developing economy for online commerce.<\/p>\n<p>It has been rated as the most advanced country for online shopping in MENA and is ranked fourth among the top 10 developing economies, according to the report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are seven trust service providers (TSP) licensed by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in the UAE, statistics released recently by the TRA show.
