Dubai Police\ncalls upon parents to take a proactive role in addressing irresponsible traffic\nbehaviours exhibited by some young individuals by being more vigilant and\nactively engaging in preventing irresponsible actions that could lead to severe\nconsequences and harm to lives and property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major\nGeneral Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic\nat Dubai Police, highlighted the Department’s response to numerous reports and\ncomplaints from residents of Al Khawaneej and visitors of the Last Exit area.\nHe noted that these reports involved vehicles, motorcycles, and electric bikes\nengaging in reckless and show-off driving, which posed danger to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The\nmotorists were also found to be driving against traffic flow and committing\nserious violations. Therefore, the Department launched a comprehensive traffic\ncampaign, which resulted in the issuance of 496 fines and the seizure of 121\ncars and motorcycles. This included 81 cars and 40 motorcycles, as their\ndrivers failed to comply with traffic laws and regulations,” he continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maj. Gen. Al\nMazrouei further emphasized Dubai Police’s zero-tolerance policy towards\nreckless driving and irresponsible drivers. He highlighted that the aggressive\nbehaviour of these motorists called for the enforcement of Decree No. 30 of\n2023 concerning traffic violations and the impoundment of vehicles, which aims\nto safeguard lives and properties and effectively confront reckless drivers who\nendanger their own lives and the lives of others. Al Mazrouei also indicated\nthat the fine for releasing impounded vehicles reaches AED 50,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Director\nof the General Department of Traffic also pointed out that safety is a\nshared-responsibly and that societal responsibility falls upon parents as the\nprimary guardians of their youths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
