The boat’s owner conveyed his gratitude\nto Dubai Police, recounting the harrowing experience. He stated, “My boat\nmalfunctioned in the evening near the wave breaker east of the Dubai World\nIslands. The currents rapidly dragged the boat towards the breaker, and I was\nterrified of the boat crashing into the nearby rocks. Those were distressing\nmoments.” He continued, “I immediately contacted the Command and\nControl Centre of Dubai Police, requesting urgent assistance. An official\ncommunicated with me, reassuring me until the maritime patrol arrived\npromptly.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added, “By God\u2019s grace and the\nswift response of the team, my boat was pulled away from danger, and I was\nsaved. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Command and Control\nCentre and the Maritime Rescue and Marine Security team, who closely monitored\nmy situation until I was safe.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brigadier Dr Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi,\nDirector of the Ports Police Station in Dubai, congratulated the boat owner on\nhis safety. He reaffirmed that the centre is always ready to handle emergencies\nthrough its terrestrial and maritime points. These points are equipped with\ncombined patrols from the ‘Marine Security’ and ‘Maritime Rescue’, operating\n24\/7 with rescue divers, boat drivers, and air and water jet ski operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brigadier Al Suwaidi highlighted that\nall specialised teams of the Ports Police Station are perpetually prepared as\nper the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al\nMarri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to deal with any emergency\naround the clock. He emphasised that patrols are deployed to ensure rapid\nresponse to any incidents in marine areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brigadier Al Suwaidi also encouraged\nboat and yacht owners to register in the “Sail Safely” service on the\nDubai Police app for a safer cruise and faster emergency response.
