The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation\n(MoHRE) has revoked the licenses of two domestic worker recruitment agencies\nfor failing to comply with the obligations stipulated in Federal Law 9 of 2022\non Domestic Workers and its executive regulations, as well as Ministerial\nResolution 676 of 2022 on the Licensing and Regulation of Domestic Worker\nRecruitment Agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two agencies are Shamma Al Mahairi Domestic\nWorkers Services Centre in Dubai and Al Barq Domestic Workers Services Centre\nL.L.C in Ajman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese measures form part of the Ministry\u2019s ongoing\nefforts to regulate and organise the operations of domestic worker recruitment\nagencies to ensure that all relevant parties comply with law,\u201d MoHRE said in a\nstatement on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese offices were found to have committed explicit\nlegal violations, which required revoking their licenses and asking their\nowners to settle the status of their workers, fulfil their obligations towards\nboth workers and domestic workers\u2019 employers, and pay any fines that were due\nuntil the date of license cancellation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Ministry also notified relevant local authorities\nto take the necessary actions against these agencies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ministry stressed that it will take legal action\nagainst any domestic worker recruitment agency found to be in violation of the\nlaw, in accordance with the nature of the violation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are fully committed to upholding the rights of all\nparties involved and supporting them in fulfilling their obligations, in line\nwith the highest standards of efficiency and transparency, as well committing\nto the relevant national and international agreements,\u201d it explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MoHRE noted that licensed domestic worker recruitment\nagencies across the UAE are under its supervision and \u201coperate under clear\nregulations and systems to safeguard the rights of all parties and provide\nseveral services to clients, including unified pricing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ministry called on customers to contact its call\ncentre at 600590000 to submit feedback on domestic worker recruitment agencies,\nand to visit its website www.mohre.gov.ae to view the list of agencies licensed\nby the Ministry, cautioning against dealing with unlicensed offices, which\ncarries legal consequences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
