{"id":54164,"date":"2023-06-13T10:58:25","date_gmt":"2023-06-13T06:58:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=54164"},"modified":"2023-06-13T10:58:27","modified_gmt":"2023-06-13T06:58:27","slug":"mohre-extends-deadline-for-achieving-semi-annual-emiratisation-targets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2023\/06\/13\/mohre-extends-deadline-for-achieving-semi-annual-emiratisation-targets\/","title":{"rendered":"MoHRE extends deadline for achieving semi-annual Emiratisation targets"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The\ndeadline for meeting semi-annual Emiratisation targets for private sector\ncompanies with 50 employees or more has been extended from 30<sup>th<\/sup> June\nto 7<sup>th<\/sup> July, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation\n(MoHRE) announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MoHRE said\nthis decision was taken by taking into consideration the Eid Al Adha holiday,\nwhich falls on the fourth week of June, \u201ctherefore, we decided giving more time\nfor companies to reach their targets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Non-compliant\ncompanies will face a AED42,000 fine for each Emirati not employed starting 8<sup>th<\/sup>\nJuly, based on the 1% semi-annual Emiratisation growth requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs the Ministry\nis committed to achieving its objectives of creating a competitive job market\nfor UAE nationals and developing their skills through more collaboration with\nthe private sector, we decided allowing more time for companies to comply with\nthe decision and avoid relevant penalties,\u201d MoHRE said in a statement. \u201cWe call\non companies to take advantage of the extended deadline to reach their targets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEmirati\nprofessionals have proven their competence across a range of positions in the\nprivate sector that require a high level of efficiency and knowledge,\u201d it added.\n\u201cThis provides an enormous boost to our efforts, in line with the government\u2019s objectives\nand vision.
