The General Department of Criminal\nInvestigation (CID) at Dubai Police has recorded a 63.2% reduction in criminal\nreports filed in 2022 compared to the year before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Excellency Lieutenant General\nAbdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, attributed the\nsignificant drop to eight innovative security projects recently unveiled by the\nDepartment and operated by its highly qualified and dedicated personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These remarks were made by the\nCommander-in-Chief of Dubai Police during an annual inspection visit to the\nDepartment in the presence of His Excellency Expert Major General Khalil\nIbrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation\nAffairs at Dubai Police; His Excellency Major General Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, Director\nof the General Department of Criminal Investigation; and a number of senior\nofficers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crime Prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n During the inspection visit, Al Marri\nalso listened to an explanation about the achievements and initiatives of the\nCrime Prevention Department, including the arrest of 422 wanted individuals for\nvarious charges and dealing with 782 points of interest with partners from\ngovernment entities. In addition, to highlight the key findings of their crime\nprevention-related studies, the Department also presented its innovative\nsecurity projects that contributed to preventing crime and facilitating\npost-crime procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Lost & Found<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lost & Found Department also\nbriefed the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police on their 2022 initiatives and\nachievements, including returning found items to 745 beneficiaries and\nhonouring 14 honest individuals who handed over found items and valuables to\nthe police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tourist Police <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Tourist Police Department also\npresented last year\u2019s key performance indicators and initiatives results,\nincluding delivering 55 awareness lectures for 4,085 beneficiaries working in\nthe hospitality and tourism sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Training & Development <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Towards the end of the inspection visit,\nAl Marri was also briefed on the performance indicators and the training\nprogrammes run by the Training and Development Department at the General\nDepartment of Criminal Investigation in 2022, totalling 108 courses, workshops\nand lectures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) at Dubai Police has recorded a 63.2% reduction in criminal reports filed in 2022 compared to the year before.
