{"id":50572,"date":"2022-11-24T16:18:43","date_gmt":"2022-11-24T12:18:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=50572"},"modified":"2022-11-24T16:18:45","modified_gmt":"2022-11-24T12:18:45","slug":"dubai-police-slash-emergency-response-time-to-2-34-in-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2022\/11\/24\/dubai-police-slash-emergency-response-time-to-2-34-in-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Dubai Police slash Emergency Response Time to 2.34 in 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dubai Police recorded an average response time of\n2.34 minutes to extreme emergencies in 2021, while their emergency number (999)\nreceived over 5.3 million calls during the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These statistics were revealed during the Operations\nDepartment annual inspection conducted by His Excellency Expert Major General\nKhalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commandant-in-Chief for Criminal\nInvestigation Affairs, in the presence of Major General Ali Abdullah Al\nGhaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs; Major General Dr\nAdel Al Suwaidi, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, Director of the Dubai\nPolice Council of Police Stations Directors; Brigadier Turki Abdurrahman Bin\nFaris, Acting Director of the General Department of Operations; Dr Brigadier\nSaleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of Excellence and Pioneering; Brigadier\nKhalid bin Suleiman, Acting&nbsp; Deputy\nDirector of the Regulatory Office; Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Al\nBarsha Police Station; and a number of senior officers and employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Swift Response<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials of the Dubai Police Command and Control\nCentre revealed that in 2021 the emergency hotline (999) received 5,384,317\ncalls %99.6 of which were answered within 10 seconds, compared to %99 in the\nyear before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the average time for Dubai police patrols\nto reach emergency scenes was only 2.34 minutes, and the targeted response time\nwas six minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>901 for Non-Emergencies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, Al Mansouri also reviewed the\nstatistics of the (901) Call Centre, which handled 675,287 calls last year\ncompared to 701,569 calls in the year before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AI-enabled Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al Mansouri was also briefed on the force\u2019s latest\nAI-enabled projects, including the AI-Operations Room, which integrates\nartificial intelligence technologies into various operations. He also reviewed\nthe RASD programme- a smartphone application officers can use to scan vehicles\nand see if they are wanted, and a project to upgrade CCTV security cameras\nacross the emirate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the meeting, Al Mansouri called upon\nstaff members to fulfil their job requirements promptly and accurately, to\nimprove business quality and performance and upgrade work standards to the\nhighest levels.
