The Dubai Police has fined a number of motorists and seized their\nvehicles for committing serious traffic violations during yesterday\u2019s rainy\nweather, including driving recklessly and perfuming stunts on wet roads and\ndriving in a way that poses a danger to themselves and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department\nof Traffic Police, said they summoned the unruly drivers who appeared in videos\ncirculated across social media channels performing stunts and driving\nrecklessly across the emirate\u2019s roads during the rain. He added that one of the reckless drivers\ncollided with another motorist who was driving orderly nearby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maj. Gen Al Mazroui stressed that road safety is everyone’s\nresponsibility pointing out that Dubai Police’s ‘We Are All Police’ programme\nenables public members to take part in ensuring the safety and security of\nDubai roads and streets by reporting reckless drivers and traffic violations\nconveniently via the Dubai Police smart app or calling Dubai Police’s call\ncentre (901). He further noted that all reports are handled by the Department’s\ntraffic experts thoroughly and with extreme confidentiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
