President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov today visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, as part of his official visit to the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was accompanied by Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Ariqi, UAE Non-Resident Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, and the accompanying delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Kyrgyz President commenced his tour by visiting the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and recalled the Founding Father\u2019s qualities and wise approach that enriched the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among various nations of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later, Dr. Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, SZGMC, accompanied them on a tour of the mosque\u2019s halls and external corridors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the tour, they were briefed about the mosque\u2019s noble message that highlights notions of coexistence, tolerance, and openness to other cultures, inspired by the nation\u2019s late founder\u2019s rich legacy, and about the mosque\u2019s leading role in highlighting the Islamic culture\u2019s true essence and promoting cross-cultural communication worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were also briefed about the history, components, and aesthetic features of Islamic art and architecture manifested in every corner of this grand edifice that crate a mesmerising fusion of various architectural styles from different eras reflecting commonalities amongst cultures and uniting the world through art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the visit, the guest was presented with two of the Centre\u2019s distinctive publications. The first titled \u201cSpaces of Light,\u201d showcasing the winning photographs in the \u201cSpaces of Light\u201d photography award, annually organised by the Centre in celebration of the scenic aesthetics and visual culture of the mosque, and another copy of a book titled \u201cHouses of God\u201d about places of worship in the Islamic history.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
