{"id":4967,"date":"2018-10-17T16:24:29","date_gmt":"2018-10-17T12:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=4967"},"modified":"2018-10-17T16:24:29","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T12:24:29","slug":"new-changes-to-uae-visa-system-as-of-next-sunday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2018\/10\/17\/new-changes-to-uae-visa-system-as-of-next-sunday\/","title":{"rendered":"New changes to UAE visa system as of next Sunday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship has announced changes to the UAE visa system approved by the UAE cabinet.<\/p>\n<p>Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, acting director-general of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, stated that the implementation of the changes to visa system adopted by the UAE Cabinet, will take place on October 21 (Next Sunday).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following are the three new Cabinet decisions to be implemented:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0Extending the residency visa of the widow or divorcee\u00a0women and their children for one year.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0Extending residency period for students\u00a0sponsored by their parents beyond\u00a0<span class=\"vm-hook-outer vm-hook-default\"><span class=\"vm-hook\">university<\/span><\/span>\u00a0years or secondary school<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0Granting visitors a new visit visa\u00a0after the expiry\u00a0<span class=\"vm-hook-outer vm-hook-default\"><span class=\"vm-hook\">date<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of their entry permit for visit or tourism without having to leave UAE.
