{"id":47084,"date":"2022-06-19T12:24:48","date_gmt":"2022-06-19T08:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=47084"},"modified":"2022-06-19T12:24:50","modified_gmt":"2022-06-19T08:24:50","slug":"dubai-police-return-lost-luggage-and-cash-to-tourist-within-30-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2022\/06\/19\/dubai-police-return-lost-luggage-and-cash-to-tourist-within-30-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"Dubai Police Return Lost Luggage and Cash to Tourist within 30 Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Dubai Tourist Police have recently\nreturned the luggage of a tourist within 30 minutes after she had lost it on\npublic transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colonel Khalfan Al Jallaf, director of\nthe Dubai Tourist Police Department, said they received a report via the Dubai\nPolice call centre (901) on a Russian tourist who had lost two bags, a mobile\nphone, a personal wallet, some credit cards, a passport and some cash while\ncommuting across Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The tourist couldn&#8217;t remember the\nvehicle&#8217;s data or route to retrieve the luggage&#8221; &#8220;Therefore, we\nformed a team to track her journey across Dubai and review routes and utilise\nthe smart systems across the city,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Col Al Jallaf confirmed that the team\nsoon identified the bus that the tourist took from La Mer to the Palm. They\nthen contacted the bus driver, who confirmed that he had found the tourist&#8217;s\nluggage but couldn&#8217;t identify or reach the owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The director of the Dubai Tourist Police\nsaid their swift response took no longer than 30 minutes from receiving the\nreport to handing the lost luggage to the tourist, who expressed her thanks and\ngratitude to the Dubai Police for their keenness on ensuring the safety,\nsecurity and happiness of the emirate&#8217;s visitors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Dubai Tourist Police have recently returned the luggage of a tourist within 30 minutes after she had lost it on public transport.
