Two men died, and three others were injured in four\ntraffic accidents last Monday (April 18, 2022), the director of the Dubai\nTraffic Police has revealed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director General\nof the Traffic Department at Dubai Police, said the accidents happened due to\nviolations of traffic laws, including speeding and not leaving a sufficient\ndistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The first accident occurred last Monday on Emirates Road\nnear Tripoli Bridge Abu Dhabi-bound. It involved three vehicles whose drivers\nfailed to maintain a safe distance” “The accident left one severely\ninjured, who was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention “,\nhe explained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brig. Al Mazrouei further explained that the second\naccident happened the same day between a motorcycle and a lorry on Dubai-Hatta\nRoad near Lehbab roundabout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Both motorists did not adhere to the safe-distance\nregulation between the vehicle, and as a result, the motorcyclist died of fatal\ninjuries,” Brig. Al Mazroueiconfirmed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Another accident happened between a lorry and four light\nvehicles on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Abu Dhabi-Bound in front of City\nCentre Mirdif,” The accident happened due to speeding and driving\nrecklessly and left one person severely injured,” he continued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The director of Dubai Traffic Police said that a man\nwas also killed in a run-over accident on Dubai-Hatta Road. He noted that the\naccident happened when the pedestrian was jaywalking, crossing the road from an\nundesignated area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The man was reported dead on the scene due to his severe\ninjuries”, Brig. Al Mazrouei confrimed. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Acting Director of Dubai Traffic Police warned\nagainst excessive speeding, improper overtaking, sudden swerving, and distracted\ndriving.
