The first round of the “President\u2019s Jiu-Jitsu Cup,” which is a club completion, will begin on 29th September, under the “Sports Season Agenda 2018-2019.”<\/p>\n
The championship, which will be held at the Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi, will see the participation of the UAE\u2019s nationals registered at local clubs, with the aim of encouraging club competition, discover Emirati talents for national teams, highlight their skills, and prepare them for international competitions.<\/p>\n
The first round of the championship will witnesses the participation of many competitors, as its registration period began in March and ended on 25th September, which reflects the competitiveness of the participating clubs.<\/p>\n
Youssef Al Batran, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, said, “Organising the championship and ensuring its future success is part of UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation\u2019s strategy to encourage the community to adopt jiu-jitsu as a lifestyle for all ages, which reflects the UAE\u2019s stature as a capital of this prestigious international sport.”<\/p>\n
He added that the cup, which is the outcome of the federation\u2019s efforts, has the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and aims to enrich the UAE\u2019s professional jiu-jitsu community, discover and train new talents, and highlight the role of clubs in showcasing these talents, as well as encourage competition between clubs to create a competitive environment for both participants and the audience, while will enable the UAE to shine in regional and international competitions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
