{"id":40385,"date":"2021-11-26T22:51:57","date_gmt":"2021-11-26T18:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=40385"},"modified":"2021-11-26T23:59:02","modified_gmt":"2021-11-26T19:59:02","slug":"uae-bars-entry-for-travellers-from-7-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2021\/11\/26\/uae-bars-entry-for-travellers-from-7-countries\/","title":{"rendered":"UAE bars entry for travellers from 7 countries"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The General Civil Aviation Authority\n(GCAA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Emergency Management\nAuthority (NCEMA) have announced the suspension of entry for travellers and\ntransit passengers from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe,\nBotswana, Mozambique.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This includes suspending the entry of\ntravellers who were in these countries 14 days before coming to the UAE. Flight\noperations will continue to transport passengers from the UAE to these seven\ncountries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The GCAA affirmed that UAE nationals,\ndiplomatic missions, official delegations between UAE and the seven countries\nand golden residence holders are excluded from this decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The excluded category should present\na negative COVID-19 test obtained within 48 hours of departure and a Rapid-PCR\ntest at the airport within six hours of the departure and another PCR test at\nthe airport when arriving to UAE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A 10-day quarantine and a PCR test on\nthe ninth day of entering the country is required for UAE nationals, diplomatic\nmissions and golden residence holders. However, official delegations are\nrequired to quarantine at the airport until the test result is received for\nthem to continue their mission in UAE without 10-day quarantine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The authority also affirmed that it\nis required for those coming from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini,\nZimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique through other countries to stay in those\ncountries for at least 14 days before being allowed to enter the UAE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UAE citizens are prohibited from\ntravelling to South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Botswana,\nMozambique except for the country&#8217;s emergency treatment cases, official\ndelegations, and scholarships.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The authority called on all\ntravellers affected by the decision to follow up and communicate with the\nairlines to amend and schedule their flights and to ensure their safe return to\ntheir final destinations without any delay or other obligations.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) have announced the suspension of entry for travellers and transit passengers from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique.
