{"id":34204,"date":"2021-05-21T14:00:59","date_gmt":"2021-05-21T10:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=34204"},"modified":"2021-05-21T14:01:01","modified_gmt":"2021-05-21T10:01:01","slug":"uae-announces-1490-new-covid-19-cases-in-last-24-hours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2021\/05\/21\/uae-announces-1490-new-covid-19-cases-in-last-24-hours\/","title":{"rendered":"UAE announces 1,490 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, announced on  Friday that it conducted 241,630 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 1,490 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases in the UAE to 552,920.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and are receiving the necessary care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MoHAP also noted an additional 1,451 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 532,910.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MoHAP also announced the death of 2 patients due to COVID-19 complications in the past 24 hours bringing the death toll in the UAE to 1,644.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, announced on Friday that it conducted 241,630 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
