Hundreds of sensitive Cabinet Office and Home Office documents have been accidentally leaked online, prompting MPs to demand an inquiry into the \u201cegregious errors\u201d.<\/p>\n
An investigation by The Sunday Telegraph has revealed internal Whitehall files on how to obtain security passes to government buildings and details of communications with MI5 and counter-terrorism officials have been accessible on Google for up to four years.<\/p>\n
MPs last night accused the Government of \u201cgross ineptitude\u201d and demanded an immediate inquiry into the \u201cshambolic\u201d trove of leaks.<\/p>\n
Cyber security experts said the leaks were a \u201cclear failure of common, basic security\u201d and contained exactly what criminals look for when trying to infiltrate organisations.<\/p>\n
Darren Jones MP, a Labour member of the science and technology select committee, said: \u201cWho needs Russian hackers when you can just Google and find out the Government\u2019s inner workings?\u201d<\/p>\n
