Dubai\u2019s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will\nlaunch Bus Route (F81), a new metro link service. It will also open a dedicated\nbus lane on Al Khan & Mamzar links for Route (E303) to lift commuters between\nDubai and Sharjah and introduce other route improvements on the same date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe new Route (F81), a metro link service, will\nbe opened on October 25th<\/sup> from Al Qusais Industrial Area to Al Nahda\nMetro Station. The service frequency will be 15 minutes during peak hours,\u201d\nsaid Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development, Public\nTransport Agency, RTA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRTA will also open a dedicated bus lane on Al\nKhan & Mamzar links for Route (E303) to shuttle riders between the Union\nMetro Station in Dubai and Al Jubail Station in Sharjah, which will reduce around 15 minutes of the bus transit time between the two Emirates at peak\ntimes. The service will use a bus-dedicated connecting lane, thus will render riders\ncommuting experience between Dubai and Sharjah smooth and convenient. RTA will\ndeploy ten double-deck buses on this route,\u201d he noted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOn the same date, RTA will improve several\nother bus routes including Route 77, which will be extended to RTA\u2019s Head\nOffice via the Emirates Metro Station. Route C19 will be abolished, and changes\nwill be made to the service timing of Routes X94, X02, DPR1, 367, 97, 64A and\n7,\u201d explained Shakri. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Director of Planning and Business\nDevelopment reiterated RTA\u2019s keenness to expand the public bus network and\nimprove its integration with other mass transit means like the metro, tram and\nwater transport.
