An officer\nfrom Bur Dubai Police Station has recently been promoted for his honesty as he\nturned down a tempting bribe he was offered by a wanted criminal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sergeant Raed\nQaid Abdulrahim had rejected the offer of AED 50,000, a luxury car, an\nexpensive watch and a AED20,000 monthly salary to release a wanted\ncybercriminal who he had arrested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lt. General\nAbdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, ordered the\npromotion of officer Abdulrahim to the rank of 1st Sergeant in recognition of\nhis honesty and dedication. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to\nBrigadier Abdullah Khadim Sorour Al-Maasim, Director of the Bur Dubai Police\nStation, 1st Sgt Abdulrahim reported the matter immediately to the Public Funds\nProsecution and outwitted the criminal into handing over all the properties and\nrevealing his accomplices outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
1st Sgt\nAbdulrahim\u2019s honesty, integrity and dedication reflected the honourable image\nof Dubai Police officers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For his part,\nthe promoted police officer expressed thanks and gratitude to Lt.
