The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bayer Middle East and Axios Health Education Services to provide a one-year medication for MS patients, patients with Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), and patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), whose medical insurance doesn\u2019t cover the total cost of treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MoU is part of \u2018Da\u2019m\u2019 initiative (Support) launched by MoHAP is 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement was signed at MoHAP headquarters by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention\u2019s Public Health Policy and Licenses, Henrik Wulff, Managing Director, Bayer Middle East, and Anas Al-Safarini, Executive Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Axios Health Education Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Ruqaya Al Bastaki pointed to the importance of renewing the initiative for the second consecutive year, as part of MoHAP\u2019s keenness on mitigating patient\u2019s suffering, especially whose insurance is not covering the total cost of treatment and improve their commitment to the prescribed treatment plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MoU also covers non-insured patients or those with partial insurance coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Henrik Wulff, Managing Director, Bayer Middle East, emphasised the company\u2019s keenness on bolstering MoHAP\u2019s efforts in providing MS patients, patients with Pulmonary arterial hypertension, and patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension to ensure their adherence to treatment plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anas Al-Safarini, Executive Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Axios Health Education Services highlighted the importance of renewing the agreement, stressing Axios\u2019s commitment to coordinate with charities and programme partners to ensure the seamless progress of the programme, in addition to managing patient\u2019s treatment journey through the constant communication to ensure that they regularly receive the medication according to their treatment plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
