{"id":10347,"date":"2019-07-22T20:24:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-22T16:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/?p=10347"},"modified":"2019-07-22T20:24:00","modified_gmt":"2019-07-22T16:24:00","slug":"man-made-fake-bomb-threat-to-get-date-with-flight-attendant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uaebarq.ae\/en\/2019\/07\/22\/man-made-fake-bomb-threat-to-get-date-with-flight-attendant\/","title":{"rendered":"Man made fake bomb threat to get date with flight attendant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man has confessed in court to calling in a false bomb threat because a flight attendant on board would not agree to go on a date with him.<br \/>\nThe 65-year-old Serbian man, who has not publicly revealed his name, revealed he asked two Lufthansa\u00a0flight attendants to go to dinner with him but they had declined.<br \/>\nHe said he particularly liked one of the women\u00a0and when he could not find her at her hotel he decided to call in the bomb threat to keep her from leaving.<br \/>\nAs a result of his call, 130 passengers and five crew were evacuated from flight LH 1411, which had been due to fly from Belgrade to Frankfurt.<br \/>\nThe plane was removed from the runway and searched by a specialist police squad, causing an eight-hour delay for the flight\u2019s passengers.<br \/>\nFollowing the hoax call, Serbia\u2019s\u00a0interior ministry said in a statement: \u201cThis morning at 6 am an unknown person called and reported there was a bomb on the plane bound for Frankfurt. \u201cThe police are investigating whether it is a false alarm and are also working to identify the person who called.\u201d<br \/>\nOfficers were able to trace the call and arrest the perpetrator the following day.<br \/>\nA spokesman for the prosecution said he was being held in custody pending charges of causing panic and disorder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: Independent<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man has confessed in court to calling in a false bomb threat because a flight attendant on board would not agree to go on a date with him.
